I had the pleasure to work with Finsens Makelaardij for the selling of my apartment.

Before choosing the real estate agency, I have met 3 of them to compare their service level, professionalism, communication and their fee.

For the first appointment, Vincent and Kay came to my house to have a close look at the house, give me tips to improve the layout and make their best estimation. They have been very professionnal, detailed and transparent, mentioning all the “areas of improvement” to make sure that the house will be at its best for the viewings. As well, they have been able to explain me all the steps to follow until the house is sold and highlighted that they will take care of the full process with limited actions on my side. They gave me such a good impression that I have decided to trust them for the selling of my apartment.

As soon as the contract was signed, I had the pleasure to work with Kay on the selling but not only ! Their team is also composed of two lovely ladies who are Piroska and Pien. They have been able to answer to all my questions and were very reactive to organise the appointments with the photographer and for the viewings. The communication with both of them was amazing, I had the impression to be their unique client ! You can see that they are adapting their way of communication depending on the clients and will make their best to personalise the relationship. By the way, their photographer has done a great job and was also very nice.

When the appartment was published on Funda and other websites, 12 viewings have been scheduled straight after. Kay was updating me on each of them and was sharing the feedback he received from the potential buyers. He was also making himself available during the weekend if I had any doubt or questions, so much appreciated. Four days later, I received few offers which were exceeding my expectations. Kay and Pien have been able to advice me on each offer and were keeping a close contact with me on WhatsApp which is very convenient when you are at work !

After accepting one of the offer, everything continued to be smooth, from taking the first appointment with the notary until the final signature. They have organised everything and took care of all the administrative part. My only dutie was to read my emails and accept the appointment proposals, so easy !

I can only recommend Finsens Makelaardij to anyone who would like to be assisted by such a professional team for the selling of their house/apartment. They are very helpful, they know what they are talking about and will make sure that you feel comfortable at any stage of the process. Late last year, my husband and I bought a home in Amsterdam through Finsens, working with Vincent on the purchase, and Marlon as our mortgage advisor. We were extremely happy with all of the advice, service, and especially, the time they spent with us,, through learning what we were looking for, visiting many, many apartments. Their office team was also so helpful in coordinating all of the visits. Vincent was even advising us on the renovation we are doing.

We employed Finsens Makelaardij for the sale of our current property. We had worked with them before in the search for and acquisition of a house, which had a great result. Finsens has a very hands-on process to put a property on the market that is oriented towards maximum value generation and total transparency to both the sellers and the buyers. We felt that we were advised expertly on strategy to sell, and this resulted in a very efficient sales process and a great price for our house.

Finsens’ estate agents are experts in their field and know the market very well. They have a very no-nonsense approach to their work, and are at all times extremely professional. The particular strategy chosen for the sale of our house was tailored to our specific personal and market situation. We valued the integrity of our estate agent very much. Potential buyers were expertly informed and received maximum time and information to make an informed decision. He handled the interactions with potential buyers and the closing of the sales process very well.

We worked with Finsens with great results twice, and will absolutely work with them again when we decide to move again to Amsterdam.
